FLASH

ISO is a way to pop out the lights around you to a level that makes it easier for you to see them. Like during christmas time would be a gud time to use this tool so that you can have the joy of seeing all the light.

The ISO tool has differnt levels the higher the level or number the brighter the lights will be. When you use flash it doesn't help your picture it just makes the whole area bright not the object you want it also takes away from myour photo. As to ISO it helps pop out bright colors and makes them easier to see.

It the photo the light is getting brighter as the ISO gets higher. It makes the natural light from the chrismas lights brighter then they are and makes the picture seem more clear.

Flash

Some of the pros of using flash iz that you can see your object better and that it helps in the dark. Some of the cons of flash is that it makes your pictures blury and you can't really see, and it also makes your background darker. It also takes away from the picture.

Flash is a good idea when you can't really see a person and you want them to be more in the picture and easier to see. Flash isn't a good idea because it can distract your object or person and the light can give that person red eye in your photo.

In the picture above it is better not to use flash because you can see all the nice bright lights from the city and how it reflects off of the ocean and how the makes you connect with the oicture more and brings you in.

Metering

A light meter is a function on your camera that measures the amount of light coming from any object. It helps so that you can seen a certain type of light better in a drake place.

In the first picture I measured the light from the computer screen and then took the picture and it made it so that the brightest light in the room is the computer screen.

In the sencond photo I metered my partners skin and then backed up and took the photo so the she would be easier to see and th meter read the light from her skin and made her become brighter.

Surrealism: "City of Dreams"

In this dream you can see many different symbols. In the dream there are bushes with fruit on them maybe it's a sign that you want it to be easier to get the things that you want and that it can be as easy as taking something off a bush. The desert walk way can mean that something is hard and difficult to get through. The ghostly person can be a spirt that can show you thing in a different was kind of like in a Christmas Carol. The person swimming with the fish in the sky can be a sign of you wanting to be set free and do what you want to without following anybody elses rules. The people on top of the buildings are a symbol of being fun and taking life as it is and making the best of it no matter how hard it gets at times, and the big city background can be a sign that your ready for change and are looking for a bigger and better challenge and that you want to have new experiences with new people in new places.

Surreal Practice Tutorials

In the desert tutorial we put a gradient on the dirt to change the color of it, then we used distort to pull the dirt back so that it would look like it was going into the distance. Then we put the gradient on the blue background so that we could make our sky look real, then we added some clouds. Doing these tutuorials helped alot because it hepled me get a better idea of how the surreal project will go.

In my art work I wanted to express the feelings and show how I think most people that want to be in the entertainment business feel. It’s such a big market but very few make it in. All around you everyday of your life you see these people and they make it seem like there on top of the world. I feel like if it’s your dream then nothing should stop you from making it come true.

I like the way all the colors flow through the picture and how it all comes together. I think that I did a good job at expressing my feelings and how I felt about the project, and how all the different levels pop out at you throughout the picture and make your eye slowly go through the page.

Graduation

The strenght of my design was how I used the clouds in both the front and back and make it look like your looking up to the sky. I wouldn't change anything about my design I like it very much. It was kind of hard because you couldn't do as much as you wanted to you had to stay with the format that they gave you, but once you got use to it, it made it pretty simple. Trying to get all the colors to blend and go together was hard. Graphic design is pretty heasy when you put your mind to it. This project gave me an idea of what jobs people have to do everyday and how much time and effort they put into everything they do. When doing graphic design you have to think from both sides business and customer point of view. Graphic design is a huge part of our everyday life, and its always around us not matter where we are or what we are doing. From the food we get to the clothes that we wear.

Si Se Puede / Academic Letters

On the Acedemic letters the strenght of my design was the way I used the colors and balanced them out. I could of used different colors and used different levels to make it better. I also could of used a different texture too make it look more smooth. I think I did better with the Acedemic Letters because it was a kind of simple idea that came to my mind, and it went together very well.

When it came to doing this project to me it wasn’t that hard to figure out what I wanted to show. It was just a matter of how to show it. Everything I put on my quilts are all from personal situations and ideas. I spent a lot of time asking all the people what they thought about me as a person. I got mostly the same answers from everyone. I tried to take what they all said and put it all on a picture, and show me from there point of view. But out of all my quilts that I did my favorites are my Past and Future because it helped show me how much I have grown and changed over the last 18years.

My quilts are all connected by the different types of purple and the lighting that pops out when you look at them. All my quilts have something that has to do with music because that was a big part of my growing up I want it to be a big part of my future. I didn’t want to put all of myself into the quilts because they are personal, but I did want to show people another side of me not just the funny person they get to see in class. Because there’s always two part to one person.


Out of all the projects we have did this is the one project I got into the most because it was all about me and how I feel. The inside me quilt was the one I spent the most time on because it’s what’s inside me. It’s like a big city in my head there’s so much going on around me and everything is going so fast that it’s hard to know where to go and what to do. It’s like I have songs in my head that won’t come out. I feel like this was a way to get myself out there and help me find out what path I want to as I get ready to graduate from high school.

My experience with this project overall as fun and I wouldn’t do anything different. I think that if you show to much that people would want more but it’s always good leave them wanting more and keep them coming back. I think this was a good idea for everybody to get too see another side of each other and how we all come to different parts of life and how we all connect in different ways when it comes to certain things in our life.
